Idea Crib’s Latest Beauty Grocery Finds
Human Heart Nature’s 100% Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil, Moringa-O’s Malunggay Herbal Shampoo with Argan Oil, and COCOLINE Naturals’s Intense Moisturizing Body Wash with Coconut, Milk, and Licorice
Do you like grocery shopping? I actually consider it as one of those boring but necessary tasks of life. I’ve discovered, however, that grocery shopping also has its advantages: you get to choose exactly which products to check out, and you get to discover cool new products. This week, let me share Idea Crib’s latest beauty grocery finds.
What I love about Human Heart Nature is that all their products are at least 95% natural. Their ingredients are also natural, safe, and biodegradable. Buying products that are natural and safe for the environment is always a good idea. Anyway, on to their beauty oil.
Their Sunflower Beauty Oil is one of their bestsellers. It’s hypoallergenic and has moisturizing vitamins A, D, & E. What does this beauty solution promise to do? According to their official site, it can:
- Help lighten dark undereye circles
- Help lighten dark spots and pimple marks
- Moisturize the undereye area
- Help prevent and lighten the appearance of stretch marks
- Help soften and lighten underarms
- Soften feet soles, knees, and elbows
- Remove stubborn makeup
- Moisturize the body
- Help lighten fine lines around the eyes
- Help soften cuticles and dry skin
- Make skin glow and keep it youthful
- Help relax tired, puffy eyes
- Help relieve itch and redness caused by insect bites
- Nourish and condition eyelashes
- Help lighten dark lips
- Add shine to dull hair
- Help ease dry and itchy scalp
- Help improve skin condition after sunburn
- Smoothen dry, rough skin from shaving
- Help calm skin and ease rashes
- Help relieve symptoms of skin infections
- Help hydrate dry patches on face
- Help lighten lesion and scars
You can use it day and night though I think using it at night will allow the solution to be absorbed by your skin more.
It definitely has a very moisturizing aspect to it. Moisturizers are important because they help keep your skin supple, and this seems to serve well as a day moisturizer. My facial skin seemed softer too after just several uses. I didn’t observe any skin lightening, though that’s not really a big deal for me. What I’m still wondering about is if I could use this in lieu of an eye cream. Hmm… Anyway, if your skin type is oily like mine, you’re going to look a bit dewy upon application, so let the solution sink in first before using loose powder.
Do purchase this for its moisturizing and softening properties. That in itself is already worth the price.
One 50 ml bottle is Php 149.75 and will last you around 2 weeks if you just use it sparingly on the face, neck, and hand areas. You can buy the product at their site or at leading supermarkets like Metro Gaisano and SM.
I have hair fall concerns, so when I saw this on the shelves a week ago, I decided to read the bottle description to learn more about it. The blurb says, “Moringa-O² Herbal Shampoo with Argan Oil brings together nature’s powerful multivitamins Malunggay (Moringga), Olive, Omega (Sunflower) and Argan oils. These oils are very rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals: Vitamins A, C, D, E, B-complex, essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and 9, calcium and other minerals.” It sounded fantastic, especially since argan oil is another famed beauty oil known for its hydration and anti-aging properties.
According to their official site, the shampoo offers the following benefits.
- Minimizes hair fall
- Provides gentle cleansing
- Strengthens hair
- Helps stimulate hair growth
- Moisturizes and softens
The cleansing is definitely gentle. I also appreciate its scent that is refreshing and not overpowering. I’m not sure about the softening and strengthening bit however (I still experienced hair fall and that was my primary consideration for buying it), although in fairness I only used it for around 2 weeks. Maybe the beauty results will be swifter if you pair this up with their herbal conditioner or with their entire Hair Care System.
Of the three products, this is the one I liked the least. I may not buy this again.
One 75 ml bottle is Php 180. and will last you 1 week, or 2 if you don’t wash your hair daily. You can buy the product at leading groceries like Shopwise or at drugstores like Watsons.
I usually buy another popular body wash, but when I saw this product two months ago, I decided to buy it instead on a whim. I appreciate that this product is virgin coconut oil-based and that its ingredients are natural and paraben-free. Virgin coconut oil has been known to dramatically improving the condition of both skin and hair. It also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-oxidant properties so that’s a bonus.
By the way, who knew that there were so many beauty oils out there?
First off, the smell is very tropical feels, and I love that! It instantly makes me feel that I’ve just hied off to a tropical isle. My only beef is that the scent doesn’t linger long. Aww. Second of all, I like that it really is moisturizing. It’s not as intensely moisturizing as the description mentions, but it’s moisturizing just the same. Third of all, unless you’re super grimy, a little goes a long way. Lastly, my skin’s sensitive and this product does not irritate the skin.
It doesn’t whiten but COCOLINE Naturals has a whitening product line if that’s what you’re after.
I’ll definitely buy this again.
One 340 ml bottle is Php. 159.75 and will last between 2-3 weeks. You can buy this at leading supermarkets like Shopwise.
What ingredients do you look for when shopping for beauty products? I’d like to know!
